Home

Kevin and I went home this weekend for a family event and we took the West Coast Express to Mission for the first time! It's a pretty typical kind of train but it's kind of cute and the views were pretty.
We had Japadog.

Katie and Chris kindly picked us up from the station and then we went to this place called Rocko's in Mission. It's a little diner, located in a trailer kind of thing. It was interesting to say the least. The food was yummy though, I hadn't had pancakes since August, so I was very pleased!

One of my favourite parts about the fall season, is that it's salmon spawning time and for some reason, I've just always really loved going down to Sucker's Creek in Hope and watching the salmon. Lincoln, Brody, Kevin and I took a walk down on Saturday morning. There were lots and lots of dead salmon, especially on the sandy area with their eyes picked out, which scared Lincoln a little bit I think.

It was nice to be home, even though it was only for a little bit. Being in Hope reminded me both of why I wanted to leave but also, how much I missed it. It's been a difficult transition.
However, I did realized two things while I was there.
1. It already gets really dark really early.
2. There actually are stars in the sky.
